Yesterday, December 30, was rapper Ill Bliss’ birthday.
The veteran rapper whose real name is Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor has been in the game running close to a decade now and has been receiving a lot of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues in the industry.
We present to you 5 facts about his life and career thus far.
Ill Bliss won the Best Hip-hop Video at the maiden edition of the Soundcity Music Video Awards and the award was presented to him by American hip-hop legendNas.
In 2010, Ill Bliss set up The Goretti Company, an artiste management outfit that has helped the careers of acts like Mike Anyasodo, Chidinma and Monica Ogah.
Ill Bliss is also a managing partner at CAPital Dreams Pictures which is headed by top video director Clarence Peters.
The self-styled Oga Boss who was a former member of the rap collectiveThorobred has three solo albums to his name with the third one titled ‘Powerful’released earlier this year.
IllBliss who is a graduate of Political Science/ International Relations from the University of Lagos at some point did music part-time as he got a bank job then later worked with Ultima Studios overseeing the production of the popular quiz show, ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ before quitting the corporate world to focus on music.

Minister of  Sports, Solomon Dalung yesterday came face to face with the rot, neglect and abandonment that surmised the derelict state of facilities under his commission, scattered all over Lagos. *Dalong The minister who began his facility tour from Sea School, Apapa drove into the famed Games Village in Surulere at exactly 12.02 pm with a retinue of aides that included the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Alhassan Yakmut, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Christian Ohaa, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, directors, deputy directors, scores of journalists, among others. Nigerian soldiers are pictured undertaking a herculean task of moving a vehicle over a water body in the north-eastern part of Nigeria as they route Boko Haram insurgents from their enclaves. The soldiers during a military operation   Nigerian troops pass through lots of hardships on the war front which are not mostly caught on camera. In the above picture, the soldiers in the North were seen devising a means to transport their security vehicle over the water as they attacked the makeshift camps of Boko Haram members.   Boko Haram has been attacking Nigerians and other neighbouring countries since the year 2009 during which thousands of people have died, maimed and others displaced in the northern part of the country.
