Wow!!! First Photos Of 2016 Emerge (See Photos)

It’s still evening in in Nigeria, but in several parts of the world people have already welcomed 2016 with huge fireworks celebrations.
At Auckland’s Sky Tower in New Zealand crowds counted down the last seconds of 2015  at 1100 GMT amidst a fireworks display. In neighboring Australia, fireworks dazzled crowds at Sydney Harbour at midnight (13:00 GMT).

Very soon it will be Nigeria’s turn

Minister of  Sports, Solomon Dalung yesterday came face to face with the rot, neglect and abandonment that surmised the derelict state of facilities under his commission, scattered all over Lagos. *Dalong The minister who began his facility tour from Sea School, Apapa drove into the famed Games Village in Surulere at exactly 12.02 pm with a retinue of aides that included the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Alhassan Yakmut, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Christian Ohaa, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, directors, deputy directors, scores of journalists, among others. See Nigerian Soldiers Crossing Their Vehicle Over a River in the War Against Boko Haram (Photo)

Nigerian soldiers are pictured undertaking a herculean task of moving a vehicle over a water body in the north-eastern part of Nigeria as they route Boko Haram insurgents from their enclaves. The soldiers during a military operation   Nigerian troops pass through lots of hardships on the war front which are not mostly caught on camera. In the above picture, the soldiers in the North were seen devising a means to transport their security vehicle over the water as they attacked the makeshift camps of Boko Haram members.   Boko Haram has been attacking Nigerians and other neighbouring countries since the year 2009 during which thousands of people have died, maimed and others displaced in the northern part of the country.
